Juvéderm™ VOLUMA™ contains biocompatible hyaluronic acid which is an injectable filler that provides instant results that are natural.

What is Hyaluronic Acid?

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a natural substance found inside the human body. It’s key properties are to keep the skin hydrated whilst adding plumpness. HA naturally breaks down in the body during metabolism and is then replaced. However as we get older and our metabolism slows down, replacement of HA is less often which results in less hydrated skin and less volume in the skin.

Medical professionals have been using HA in arthritis treatment and during eye surgery.

What can Juvederm be used for?

Make cheeks and cheekbones look younger and healthier. Increasing fat content in the face following loss of weight which have made cheeks become hollow.

How long will effects last?

The effects can be seen for up to 18 months.

Who should not use Juvéderm™ VOLUMA™

Pregnant or lactating women should not use Juvéderm™ VOLUMA™

If you are considering using Juvéderm™ VOLUMA™ , then you must inform your Physician of any previous permanent products or body enhancing products you have used. You should also make them aware of any allergies, immune diseases and infections you have. Similarly if you have hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid.

The treatment should not be used in conjunction with any skin treatments including laser or dear abrasion treatment.

What are the associated side effects with Juvéderm™ VOLUMA™ ?

Common symptoms such as swelling, bruising and redness can occur at the site of gel injection. Resolution is usually within one week.
